War protocol
After much experimentation and mixing strategies, we've finally found a great way to run wars and ensure that each member has a chance to hit the best base for them.
We currently utilize a back to back war schedule, meaning we start the next war pretty quickly after the last one completes. We also operate on an "opt out if you need to" policy. Please refer to the broken down schedule below to see how wars are run. |
Our Record Streak is 8 wins in a row! |
Preparation Day (commonly known as "Prep Day")
From the second a clan war is started, we get moving. First things first, you should ensure that your war defensive request is filled out the way you want it. With the addition of the poison spell, we recommend troops that can take some damage pretty well and are high in HP. But the choice is up to you. We ask that only town hall 8 players with level 3 dragons and th9 players fill the defensive clan castles to ensure that the best troops available are provided.
Once war has started, we ask that you view the bases in the range of 2 above you through 2 below. You should choose a base at your town hall level that you can comfortably 3 star. If you are brand new at your town hall level, it is acceptable to hit the town hall you just upgraded from. A "To Do" list will be posted on the group BAND page, and we ask that you claim your base there. Simply check off the base and it will be claimed. If a co-leader or elder thinks that the base you've chosen is too difficult for your level or if it's needed for a weaker player they will contact you by private message to ask you to switch your choice. We ask that you check back before cooking your troops and attacking the base to ensure no one contacted you and asked you to switch. Once your Base has been claimed we ask that you formulate an attack plan (including any troops you are using) and post it on the BAND page to receive input prior to attacking. Many of our members use a photo editing app called Skitch, which you can download for Android or iOS for free. |
Battle Day!
Once war day starts, you should use your first attack within the first 12 hours of war. The sooner you get the attack in, the sooner we should be able to clean it. If you have problems getting your attack in quickly, please notify an elder or co-leader so we can talk about it. Once your first attack is in, and hopefully a 3 star attack, we ask that you wait at least 6 hours before using your second attack. Please ask a co-leader or elder regarding your second hit and they will assist you in picking the perfect base to clean up so we can ensure maximum stars earned in every war. War is a group effort at Vivalicious, we attack as a team not as a group of individuals. For this reason, it is rare that any attacks will be used for looting or sniping. Instead, if we are sure of a win we will ask that you use your second hit to practice. This helps us become stronger as we face harder clans. |
Our Opt out Policy for Members |
Force Opt Out Policy |
We ask that all members who are unable to use both attacks opt out of war prior to war search. Members who are currently upgrading one or more heros should opt out unless they are a Town Hall 7 player proficient in dragon attacking. Players of all levels who are upgrading their regular elixer spell factory should opt out. We need our best troops and spells to destroy the other clan. Feel free to opt back in when you're able to attack and your spell factory and hero upgrade is completed.

There are some circumstances where a co leader will force opt out a member. Most of the time, it is due to numbers. As the number of members in war has to be a multiple of 5, if we have too many members to reach that we will opt out a few. This is generally done by taking a look at your previous war log. Your town hall level and average stars gained in war are a factor as we narrow down the members to opt out. If you are opted out for this reason, the co-leader who started the war will PM you with the reason and suggestions for improvements.
